1. AlpineLayer’s role
AlpineLayer may provide domain registration as a reseller or through one or more sponsoring registrars. AlpineLayer is not an ICANN-accredited registrar unless expressly stated. The sponsoring registrar for a generic top-level domain will be identified at checkout, in the order confirmation or upon request.
2. Applicable rules
Domain registrations are subject to the relevant registry, sponsoring registrar and dispute-resolution rules. Generic top-level domains are also subject to applicable ICANN consensus policies. Country-code domains may have local eligibility, data and dispute requirements.
3. Registrant information
Customers must provide accurate, complete and current registration information and update it promptly. False or stale information may lead to verification, suspension, transfer restrictions or cancellation under registrar or registry policy.
4. Availability and registration
Search results and orders do not guarantee registration. A domain is registered only when confirmed by the relevant registrar or registry. Availability is generally first-come subject to registry rules.
5. Rights in names
Customers are responsible for ensuring registration and use do not violate trademarks, company names, personal rights, geographical indications or other third-party rights.
6. Registration term and renewal
Registration periods, renewal windows, auto-renewal, expiration, redemption and deletion vary by TLD and registrar. The Domain Renewal & Expiration Policy also applies.
7. Transfers
Transfers may require authorization codes, identity checks, lock removal, waiting periods or other registry/registrar conditions. The Domain Transfer Policy applies.
8. Registration data
Registration data may be collected, transferred, escrowed, published or disclosed under registrar, registry and ICANN rules. Privacy/proxy availability depends on TLD and provider. Registrar and registry privacy notices may apply independently.
9. Disputes
Generic top-level domains may be subject to UDRP, URS or successor procedures. .ch domains are subject to the applicable Swiss registry and dispute-resolution rules. AlpineLayer will implement binding registrar, registry, court or dispute-provider decisions as required.
10. DNS
Customers are responsible for valid DNS unless managed DNS is purchased. Some registries require functioning nameservers or other technical conditions.
11. Suspension and cancellation
A registrar or registry may suspend, lock, transfer, delete or refuse a domain for non-payment, inaccurate data, legal orders, abuse, verification failure or other policy grounds.
