1. Scope
These guidelines describe AlpineLayer’s general approach to government and legal requests and do not create rights beyond applicable law or contract.
2. Legal process
Requests are reviewed for authority, jurisdiction, scope, specificity and legal validity. AlpineLayer may request clarification or formal legal process and may challenge overbroad or defective requests where appropriate.
3. Data minimization
AlpineLayer seeks to disclose only data reasonably required by a valid request and available in its systems.
4. Customer notice
AlpineLayer may notify the affected customer unless prohibited by law, court order, emergency or a legitimate risk that notice would cause harm or evidence loss.
5. Emergency requests
Emergency requests should explain the imminent danger, requested information and legal authority. AlpineLayer may make a good-faith disclosure where applicable law permits and circumstances justify it.
6. Preservation
AlpineLayer may preserve specified data in response to valid process without disclosing it until appropriate legal authority is provided.
7. Contact
Official requests should be sent to legal@alpinelayer.ch. AlpineLayer may independently verify the requester.
